Introduction
Communication is the process of imparting or exchanging of information by speaking, writing, or using some other medium. It can also be expressed as means of sending or receiving information, such as telephone lines or computers.

Components Of Communication
The following are the components of communication:
  • Source.
  • Message.
  • Channel.
  • Receiver.
  • Feedback.
  • Environment.
  • Context.
  • Interference.

The above are the components of communication.
1) Source
The source imagines, creates , and sends the message.the source encodes the message by choosing just the right order or the best words to convey the intended meaning, and presents or sends the information to the audience(the receiver).

2) Message
The message is the meaning produced by the source for the audience or receiver. The message brings together words to convey the meaning, but is also about how it is conveyed - through non-verbal gestures, grammar, style, and other elements.

3) Channel
The channel is the way in which a message is travels between the source and the receiver. Spoken channels include face-to-face interaction, speeches, phone conversations, voice mail messages, radio, Skype,etc.. Written channels include letters, memorandums, newspapers, blogs, emails, text messages, and so forth.

4) Receiver
The receiver receives the message by the source/ sender, analyzing and interpreting , the message in ways both intended and unintended by the source.

5) Feedback
When you respond to the , intentionally or unintentionally, you are giving feedback. Feedback is composed of messages the receiver sends back to the source. Verbal or non-verbal, all these signals allow the source to see how well and accurate (or how poorly and inaccurately) the message was received.

6) Environment
The environment is the atmosphere, physical and psychological, where you send and receives the message. Environment which includes surroundings, people, animals, technology, etc.. can also influence communication.

7) Context
the context of communication process involves the setting, scene, and expectations of the individuals involved. A professional communication context may involve business suits that directly or indirectly influence expectations of language and behavior among the participants.

8) Interference
Interference, which is also called as 'noise', can come from any source. Interference is anything that blocks or changes the source's intended meaning of the message. This noise can be external, internal or psychological. Noise in the normal encoding and decoding of the message is carried by the channel (of communication) between the source and the receiver.
